Debit order still went through even though contract has been cancelled

I cancelled my contract on the 2nd of August and the consultant at the retentions/canellations department said that there will be no debit orders going through as from that date nor any other costs - I asked her to confirm that. But the usual debit order still went off this morning.

The contracts department whom I spoke to earlier on says that they can't help me and don't know why the cancellations consultant didn't bother to tell me that there will be costs yet pay for August (??!?!?!?!). Now I have to chase *********** people at Vodacom to get a brickwall again to figure out why Vodacom didn't do their job properly when the contract got cancelled!??!

Dear Client

Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience caused. Our records reflect that the number was converted to prepaid and the contract was cancelled.

I created a credit for R508.50(incl.VAT) and once the credit reflects in the Vodacom account, we will process a refund.

Kind regards

Rashieda

Thank you for the prompt response. How long will it take for this matter to be finalised i.e. refund done, confirmation that no further debit orders will go through my account and get the case closed? Many thanks.
