Debit order not on Salary date or agreed D/O date
Ref no: 1 *** contract Cell no queried: *** Back in November I had specifically requested my D/O date to be moved to my salary date 25th monthly, because 1st there's a possibility of no funds in my bank account. this was not done leading to a failed D/O on the 4th of Jan in which its not even your normal d/o date. Upon my request, no one told me that it can't be moved and that you don't run D/O on weekends or public holidays. My request was to avoid failed D/O because I knew in DEC will get paid early and future debits as i've said that the 1st there is possibilities of not having funds. Common practice by creditors is to inform their clients about D/O dates change in Dec because of public holidays and receiving salaries early, however vodacom didn't do as such leading a debit on the 4th of Jan. On the 12 Jan i spoke to one consultant about this failed debit and penalty and she advised me that, should i pay R149.0 i wouldn't be charged by the next D/O date, which i did however the opposite happened. I've never even received a copy of my contract that stipulates debit orders can't be changed. Why wasn't I called about a failed debit and informed of the charges? My bank charged me for a failed debit, you are charging for a failed debit. I need the refund of the R100.0 debited without my knowledge of concern, this will cause failed debits for my order creditors. Lerato ***
