Debit order fired after cancellation was fully paid

A few days before 24 May, I had a call with the cancellations and retentions department, after which I was advised that payment of R783.74 would be a final amount that meant I could be released from the contract and all further payments.

On the 24th of May, I made the payment and forwarded proof of payment. I was advised the next day that the cancellation have been loaded.

On the 31st of May however, an amount of R314.25 was debited off my account. After a call to Vodacom, I was advised to ********** as they would have the information to be able to help me. I sent an email to that address on the 5th of June, followed up on the 13th after which I got a response on the 14th that the invoice in question for R314.25, was not in fact included in the cancellation fee.

I promptly disagreed with this statement, and have heard nothing back since then.

The response have been both slow and unhelpful, it would be great if that could be corrected.

Reviewer Update

To date I received only an unhelpful email re-iterating that the R314.25, was not in fact included in the cancellation fee - which I have already multiple times declared my disagreement with.

My request to find a more productive way to discuss the problem was met with silence.

Perhaps a phone call might be in order??
