Debit after contract cancelation
I am completely fed up with Vodacom. Took out a contract 2 years ago, after a few months, the debit order amount started increasing. When I queried this, I was told it was due to me using airtime advance. To make things simple, I just requested that the option for airtime advance be removed. I was told by a Vodacom consultant it was sorted.
At some point in the contract, the debit amount started increasing again. I queried this but never received a response.
At the end of the contract period, I called in to cancel the contract. The retention consultant then informed me that I had R600 airtime available on the sim card (which I didn't use anymore and was lost at some point). He sold me a data contract (which was supposed to only cost R40 a month) and informed me that I could collect a new sim card in store.
After a few days I went to collect the sim card in-store, and the service consultant told me that the retention consultant was lying about the airtime. I then requested that the new contract be canceled.
It has been almost 3 months and I am still being debited R100 rand each month for a contract which was supposed to be canceled.
I have tried calling and was promised a call back in July already.
I would not recommend Vodacom to anybody!
All this hassle so you can retain a R99 contract. Ridiculous!
