**************** by VODACOM and TERRIBLE service

My mom and myself have been customers of Vodacom for at least 15 years, never have we lost or damaged our phones or claimed from insurance. My screen cracked and I handed my iphone in by the Menlyn branch, after a week or two they sent my iphone back saying I did not have insurance because the staff their (who were rude and seemed very uninterested to help) messed up my forms. What a waste of time going there. I took my phone to the Atterbury branch (the staff were great there) they handed my iphone in and apparently they could not repair the cracked screen and could replace it with a refurbished iphone that I had to pay R900 for. I was upset that I had to pay the R900 in but I did and got the refurbished iphone. I received the refurbished phone on the 1st of July 2017 and it started giving me problems on the 5th of September 2017. the refurbished iphone lasted a whole 2 months and 5 days! The error on the phone is that it says No Service most of the time, then it gets service back and forth - most days I could only use my iphone in a wifi zone. I contacted Vodacom on the 5th of September to inform them - they said it could just be the RICA so they "reset" my phone, it was a temporary fix because it didn't last very long. I was in and out of Hospital the whole of September/October and could not take my iphone into Vodacom, I handed the iphone into Vodacom Atterbury the 3rd week of November. There is a hardware problem with the iphone and Vodacom said that I only had a 3 month warranty on the iphone so they will do a replacement for R5014.86. First off I can prove that the phone started giving me problems within the 3 months but I could only hand the phone in after the 3 months. Secondly whether it is 3 months or 5 months or whatever, the point is that Vodacom has ****** me of my iphone that just had a cracked screen and ****** me of R900! How on earth do you sell your customer a refurbished phone that only works for 3 months then turn them away and say that you cant help them?? I have no phone now and no one will help me. I contacted Vodacom repair center and their consultant told me that their is nothing they can do and I cannot complain to anyone either. I emailed your repairs escalation email address and their consultant Granny has done nothing to try and help me and hasn't even bothered replying to my last email. Vodacom please explain to me how taking my iphone with a cracked screen and making me pay R900 for a refurbished phone that doesn't work is good service??? I want this resolved and no one is willing to help me - they think I will just accept this and disappear. I will take this to the complaints commission and whoever else I must. I will not except this ******* from Vodacom. If I had know that I would go from an iphone with a cracked screen to an iphone that does not work at all I would have kept my cracked iphone.

Vodacom rep**** to me on the 29th of December asking for some details and I rep**** to them on the 30th. Guess what??? No reply from Vodacom and my problem still hasn’t been sorted out. Come on Vodacom how can you explain the fact that you took my Iphone 6 that just had a cracked screen but worked, then made me pay R900 for a refurbished phone that only work for 3 months. When I handed that totally unusable Iphone in, you guys won’t help me. This isn’t my fault and I want this sorted out? Don’t you care that you ****** me and I have no phone now. Do you not care that you have terrible customer service, which I complained about. Im not letting this go because you will NOT get away with robbing me!

Vodacom will not help me at all! They just send a generic type of email, this is so shocking! This is what they sent me... "Dear Alexia Konstandakopoulos, I do apologise for the late response. Our record reflects that the last feedback provided by the Repairs Escalations Team is: "Please be advised that the unit is out of warranty and unfortunately we cannot replace at no cost. The unit was suppose to be in the repair centre during the 3 months for it to be treated as a warranty job. Vodacom does not rica phones but sim cards". Regrettably we are unable to repair or replace the handset as per your request, at no cost to you." Kind Regards, Ula Wiggins Senior Consultant This is what I rep**** back on the 16th of January. "Good day, Im not happy with that and wont accept this. The phone stopped working within the 3 month warranty, I could only hand it in after the 3 months because I was sick and in and out of hospital. Regardless of that, does Vodacom think it is right to make someone pay R900-00 for a phone that only worked for 3 months? I handed in a perfectly working Iphone with a cracked screen and got a refurbished Iphone that doesn't work! I will not accept that there is nothing you can do for me, is this how you treat you customers of years?? I don't have a working phone now? I want my Iphone with the cracked screen back and my R900-00 and you can keep that refurbished phone that doesn't work." AND GUESS WHAT.... NO REPLY
