****************

Yesterday I had 1gig of data on my cell phone and because it expired, today I have zero gigs and will have to purchase more data. This is my money and there should be no expiry date on your airtime or data. Can you imagine if every company set an expiry date for the items you purchase, we would all be bankrupt! Eg: Imagine filling up your tank and only using half of the fuel before it expires, all your fuel would be wiped out clean of your car and you would be forced to get new fuel! This is what cell phone networks are doing! This is not fair, should not be legal and thank you once again for robbing from me Vodacom!

I have been a client of Vodacom for many yrs, since the late 90's. I need to explain something here and it is something that is affecting every citizen of South Africa. Please hear me out. It has to do with the expiry date on your airtime & data. This needs to change and the expiry date needs to be eliminated. It is our money at the end of the day & there should not be a time limit on when or how quickly we should be using it. I do not think that it is fair on anyone and I feel that it is theft, taking from the people.

Yes, you have a policy where it states that data or airtime expires, but that is wrong! I do not support it and there are thousands of South Africans who I can guarantee you who also do not support it.

We are already giving Vodacom business where thousands of South Africans are purchasing the data and airtime on a daily basis who are extremely dependent on the service. Isn't that enough Vodacom? We will always need need data & airtime, so why have an expiry date and remove the data and airtime if it is not used up before the expiry date. This forces us to spend more money which only comes to the conclusion that Vodacom and cell phone networks don't care about the customers and only what goes into their pockets. This is greed, very very sad and so *******, but yet Vodacom and it's competition have made it legal and running it successfully *****ing from your own people.

I ask that Vodacom and other networks operating with the same policy look into what I have just said, be a company who can implement change in our country and support the customer's rights as a human being. By implementing the expiry date on the data and airtime means your business does not care about the basic human right to own what you have paid for.

Without our support, Vodacom would not exist.

I sincerely hope that you are able to see my frustration and know that I am talking on behalf of many South Africans who experience this issue daily.

Thanks

Leigh Pugin
