Daylight ******* by Vodacom

It has only been only 9 days that i have been on a Vodacom contract and I must say. I regret starting a contract relationship with Vodacom.

I took up a contract at one of your stores and spoke to a consultant who only cared about getting a sale from me. I asked the consultant what pro rata I would be charged and he stated that he did not know. Fair enough he seems to be asking for help a number of times which could mean his new, Now moving right along. I asked that my prepaid number be moved to contract and i was told the second phone would be on prepaid. Now to my surprise i am being billed on both lines. At no point did the consultant say that both units will be billed. Okay life goes on. On the 31st of October i called the cancellations department asking how I can go about cancelling my contract as I was unhappy with the cost and affordability. The cancellations department stated that I could go to the store within 14 days to cancel my contract. So on day 8 i walked into the store and explained to the manager that i unfortunately i am not happy with my contract and the cost in terms of affordability. And all the manager could show me was a policy on out of box failer. At that point I mentioned to the manager that your consultant at not point mentioned that once I take up the contract I could cancel. The manager seemly enjoyed the sound of his own voice as all he was concerned about the part of the OBF policy but could not show me a part that states that " if you walk out of our store with this phone, you cannot cancel" How it is that Vodacom have no where in their store policy that it speaks of the cancellation policy. And we the customer should take this laying down yet you have not written anywhere in your instore policy about the cancellation policy. And your store manager is so arrogant in saying he is Vodacom and he is the policy when I asked him to show me where it is written on my policy document. If i am correct Vodacom forces its consumers to stay on a contract with them even though at no point does their in store policy speak of how long you have to cancel. I have never in mean life in such s short space of time felt this used and disregarded by a service provide. Another problem now is you tried debiting my account for 2 separate transactions when no one alerted me of that. You are messing with credit score and good payment history, I have never experienced a bounced debit order in my life until now. The reason behind the 2 separate payments is puzzling as I took up 12 contract line which means 1 payment whether is pro- rata or not. I am now sitting with a bill of 200 that i ma struggling to pay via EFT as the reference number does not work yet your call Centre has the nerve to call me about it. I am beyond upset with the service and trying to keep my cool and stay calm. It heart breaking that my first experience from being a prepaid costumer to contract was the worst decision I have ever made.
