Day-light ******* / Zero Customer Service
In 2018, Vodacom upgraded a contract, which was registered to my Business for MANY YEARS, without the requisite paperwork, namely an authorization from the company on a business letterhead and a copy of the business owner's ID. After much back and forth, it was established that a refund of approximately R4500 was due by Vodacom to my business. In January this year, I endeavoured to ascertain the contact details of a Senior Customer Service Manager in order to facilitate a meeting so that I could address this issue, only to be informed by Vodacom that the number in question has been converted to Prepaid. Surely Vodacom has a record of what transpired regarding this number since it was part of a business contract which was *******LY upgraded by a Call Centre agent. The last communication received from Vodacom was in Feb this year advising that the matter was with their legal department. Funny how when Vodacom owes the customer money, records seem to disappear, but when the roles are reversed, Vodacom will go to ANY length to ensure they get paid. It seems that a lack of Customer Service in an industry where you have the monopoly is the norm these days.
Once again, no sense of urgency from Vodacom, but when the situation is reversed and the customer owes them money, it's an entirely different situation!
