Day light ******* **** - Vodacom

This is a massive problem, and you guys better sort it out.

Basically, in March (start of it) I got a phonecall from the Vodacom service center telling me its time to upgrade. I let my son reason with them since he's more informed on these matters. We concluded the call, stating my contracts would be upgraded to the chosen options (smaller contracts since we didn't utilise everything in the ones we had). Everything seemed fine till we got the next months bill.

Where my previous months bills were R1300-odd, this months(April) was R1900. I was very upset and my son told me to call the help center. We did so and informed them of this mistake. They told us that the complaint would be forwarded to the ***** department, because of an admin error we are being charged for 4 contracts instead on 2. We left them to resolve it and thats when Covid hit.

We don't receive our bills in the mail (we used too and weren't informed this has been changed), and I don't check my sms's often. Tonight I checked my bill to see it is still R1900. This means for the past 5 months you have overcharged us by R1300.

This is an outright **** on your part, and if you do not resolve the issue, I will go to the ombudsman to get my money back.

This is a mistake on your end, and for you to do this to a loyal customer of more than 20 years, is outright ridiculous.

Update, so they said they would take their time to "review" the call we had made, and now claim we intended to add two additional contacts, both very similar to our original ones, and that they will not do what is asked.

How full of yourself do you have to be to think you can bully us like this. Does the fact that I've had a contract with you guys for over 20 ****** years mean nothing to you? Think in your sound mind and reason, why would I need similar yet cheaper contracts additionally?

We request that you either forward the conversation to us or we will go make this a civil case. Also going through my records not once were these additional contracts mentioned, no confirmation, no sms informing us nothing. Thus you're literally ******** us with this.

You a multi-million rand company still seek to **** its clients, its honestly pathetic.

Another update for everyone. Vodacom called us stating we did in fact agree to two additional contracts, as per the voice recording of the phone call. This voice recording they refuse to send us, stating its company policy to not share our voice recording with us, and if we want to listen to it, we should go visit a Vodacom Store.

I informed them this is not a reasonable request. A couple of reasons for this. Firstly: Our email is a Vodamail email (a dying service). Meaning they will be effectively sending it to their own servers. Secondly, since we are still in the midst of a pandemic, stores have a massive overcrowding problem, and dealing with rude and uneducated employees (may not always be the case, but have found this from personal experience) is not at the top of our priority list.

Also to add, we never received any sim cards pertaining to these "new contacts", meaning even though we pay for the service(which we don't want), we don't even get to use it - further setting the point that it's NOT WHAT WE DISCUSSED.

Vodacom, you keep records of everything. Can you see that the contracts YOU added weren't being used at all? Didn't that raise a flag at all? Of course it didn't. You're more interested in ******** your loyal customers for a few bucks, than actually helping them.

As per my response, I await the voice recording in email. I don't care what your policy states, this involves 2 parties, one of which has been unwillingly taken advantage of (us).
