Data usage on mobile wifi modum

I have a 2gig wifi modum. I went on holiday to Sodwana Bay lodge in Kwazulu Natal and used with modum to log into my emails and do banking. Within 2 days I had used up all 2 gig of data. Within the next 3 days I had to purchase another 1,5 gigs of data which was finished within 3 days. I was then sent an sms stating that I could purchase 3 gig's for R399 which I did on my cell phone then used my phone. I also tethered and used my tablet as a modum which had 500 megs. That is 7 gigs of data for emails and banking.... when I am in Jhb I use my wifi modum for 8 days consitatantly and have never ever run out of data and used 2 gig? On the 21 April I logged an enquiry (just after I ran out of data on my 2 gig wifi ****le) and was advised that they woudl respond within 48 hours with an explanation as to where and how my data was being used and why my rates were so high. To date I have not heard back from anyone. After receiving an sms I responded with "NO" but was outside of Vodacoms 24 hour period and I received an automatic response stating that unfortunately my response was outside of the stipulated time and I needed to call 082111 and relog. I had already held on which I originally called for almost an hour when I loggged the call and was not about to go through this process again.

How disappointing that an organisation as big and prestegious as Vodacom don't care about the customer especially since I have 6 contracts with them. Perhaps it is time to change to a different service provider as I have had endlous issues.

To name a few:

My Daughters J3 Samsung was not repaired properly and software was not upgraded. Phone had to be taken back to have software upgrade which after a very legthly debate with the manager at Cresta was done. Now the phone is not working again and I have not had an opportunty to take it back.

I am unable to open the Vodacom app on my Laptop. each time I receive an automated response. It used to work fine before?
