Data! They take your money with no warning!

Vodacom does not warn you when you are on Out of Bundle data. Before I could do anything (buy another bundle) I discovered I already had a bill of over R1269.04 for data.

Within 1 minute on 22 March I received 10 sms's, one sms after another, to say I was running out of data - from "you have Less than 250MG remaining" to you owe R1201 in out of bundle data" within 1 minute! I contacted them on 23 March to enquire how it was possible to use this much data within 1 minute or else why was I only sent the sms once the data use was already at this level. Vodacom ref 1- ********** ********** I was told I would have a response within 72 hours. Now 3 weeks later & nothing from Vodacom.

The money is taken from my account by debit order - since there was no warning and they deduct it by debit order, is this not *****?

I have subsequently set a limit on Out of Bundle data and have the Vodacom app on my phone so I can keep an eye on data, but it is totally unacceptable that Vodacom treats customers like this. MTN seems to be making a huge effort to address these issues. What is Vodacom doing????
