Data *******

Good day Trust that this mail finds you well. I called the call centre (135) today 01 October at 13:27 from mobile number *** and spoke to Seipati who was not willing to assist me. She went as far as hanging up on me and didn’t bother to call me back. Her tone was very unwelcoming and sounded more like I was annoying her rather than being keen to assist me. I called back at 13:31 and spoke to Jason. I explained to him that my issue is the fact that of late when I buy data it runs out super-fast which is abnormal based on my history. As an example, I pointed out to him that I bought a 1gig of data on the 19th September and on the 23rd September, I received a text from Vodacom notifying me that I only had 103 megabytes left. This is very strange to me considering that during the day, I use WIFI at work plus I switch off my apps while using mobile data. The only apps I’ll have running on my device are whattsapp, facetime, email as well as facebook messenger. The only time I would access Instagram/facebook to post is over the weekend and to browse in the evening and instantly turn off the apps as soon as I’m done. But because I understand that these apps chow data, I typically am strategic in how I access them. Furthermore, the consultants advised I must download the Vodacom app to see which apps are finishing my data. The issue with that is that the core issue of my data depleting is not addressed. Which means I will find myself in the same predicament the next time I buy data. All along, I would buy a 1 gig data and it would last me a minimum of 3-4 weeks.

Must we all move to Telkom before Vodacom gets their act together and stop swindling us out of data.

Please investigate the matter and provide me with feedback. Regards, Palesa ***
