<p>Goood day Vodacom (you *********** *****s)</p> <p>I decided to do some maths this morning. <br />Let's say that I only have 3G signal the whole month (because let's face it half the time it is only 3G) <br />3G runs at around 7.2mbps.</p> <p>If my contract comes with 15mb/pm then my data would (theoretically) run out in... 2.08335 seconds.</p> <p>So if i'm understanding this correctly. You expect me to ration out my 15mb data over a whole month ( ********** seconds) 45. ********** 2kb per second over the whole month while line speed is 125kbps (ISDN SPEED!!!!!)</p> <p>Let's do some more maths. ********** seconds in a month.. at 7.2mbps (not even going to bother using LTE/4G speeds)</p> <p>That works out to a theoretical 2.3328 terabytes ( ********** mb) possible throughput in one month at 3G speed (Yes I know 3g theoretically can run up to 21.6mbps [HSPA+ (technically 3.5G))</p> <p>Now for the fun part...</p> <p>I have a 40 mbps fiber line at home which runs at speeds very similar to 4G... meaning my monthly data would last me say.... 500ms (yes that's half a second) (in practice it would be closer to 2seconds)</p> <p>So thanks for my 500 milliseconds of data you *********** *******s.</p> <p>p.s MORE MATHS!</p> <p>2.33TB into rands at Vodacom's 1GB rate (R149) would equal to R347 587.20 a month for the largest useable (technically) ammount of data at 3G speeds.. let's not even talk 4G speed.
