DATA dissapeared within 5 minutes (definitly NOT due to automatic updates) and Vodacom is refussing to help.

I checked my data on my phone right before switching on my hotspot, and I had 1.69GB of data, I also bought an additional DAILY data bundle of 250mb as I wanted to use the daily data instead. Right after checking how much data I have, I switched on my hotspot, and connected to my vodacom data through my laptop.

I was on the internet for 5 minutes... I did NOT download any movies, music, or watch any youtube videos. All I did was check emails etc. After 5 minutes of being connected to my hotspot, I received an SMS that I only had 200mb left. This is IMPOSSIBLE.

I called vodacom looking for information regarding where the data went, and they said that it's because of automatic updates - which is a total lie.

I have ADSL at home, which I get from Afrihost (ISP), my laptop is connected to my ADSL 24/7. I do all windows updates etc. through my ADSL. I know exactly how much bandwidth I use on a daily basis. Not even when I am connected to ADSL and watch youtube videos, download movies etc. do I use 2gb of data in 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!

Vodacom is blaming the data that dissapered on automatic updates..... It is impossible for that to be the reason!!!! No internet in South Africa is fast enough to be able to use 2GB of data in 5 minutes. It is technically and scientifically imposssible.

This is the second time I have this problem. Earlier this week, the EXACT same thing happened to the data on my tablet. I did a google search and it seems to me that vodacom is *****ing people's DATA left, right, and center. Just know, that I am a computer programmer, I am HIGHLY computer litterate. I am not one of those people that are just gonna accept this. I know exactly how much internet is NORMAL to use in a specific period of time. AND THIIS IS NOT NORMAL.

I want answers - Vodacom need to provide me with information on exactly where this data went. Just simply saying "it's automatic updates" are not gonna work here.... I AM MORE EDUCATED THAN THAT. I will not leave it here.... I know many other people have this same problem, and vodacom hasn't done anything about it.

I WANT MY DATA BACK AND I WANT AN EXPLINATION
