Good day,<br> I have a 2G data contract, which should have been reloaded on 1.8. On 3.8, I received notification that I had run out of Data. I tried again on 5.8, and logged a call with Vodacom and was told that several people had the same issue. As I hadn't heard from them within 24 hours, I called again on 6.8 and spoke to a Supervisor who said I would be contacted at 8am this morning (7.8) which naturally didn't happen. I called in and after speaking to several people, eventually was told that it is a Windows problem. According to the Supervisor, there was a Windows Update which downloaded over the weekend, which took 4G, and I apparently need to switch off my updates to stop this from happening again. So Vodacom are blaming it on Windows and will not reimburse for the data bundles we now have to buy. I'd like to know if this is indeed true and why Vodacom, on learning this didn't inform it's clients, as it will now be making a fortune on the extra data people have to buy? I have never used 2G of data, in a month and am clearly very unhappy with both the amount of time I've had to waste explaining my story to the numerous call centre staff and the charges that I, as a client incur.
Best regards,
