Data bundle overcharging

I had three Vodacom bundles. Two were for cellphone contracts and one was 2gig data per month. I then decided to leave Vodacom after 15 years of support due to the lack of value that they offer on their contracts. As such I moved to Telkom. My contracts were all month to month. I did the move. The very next month Vodacom deducted roughly R6000 from my account for data use. Roughly a R1000 on my phone account and R5000 on my data bundle account. The odd thing is that the data bundle had a cap and usually cut off once the 2gig was used up. I logged a complaint with Vodacom reference number 3S-GE3-PL710. They told me it would take two working days to get back to me. It has however been more than two months and no word from them.

So Vodacom how do you bill me an exorbitant amount on a capped account? Why after 15years do I get hit with this problem in the very last month I am connected with you? I see this as highly suspicious. I would recommend that all people cancel debit orders with Vodacom and pay them through transfers based on accurate billing.

A "consultant" has still not responded. Now I see on News24 that Vodacom has charged another client R25000 for data. There is a story here for newspapers to look into. My Broadband should look into this.
