data blunder
I had a data account ***, 5gig), that I cancelled in May this year but received two enormous bills for May (R2029.07) and June (R1064.37) that I learned about after cancellation, have been battling to query to no effect and refuse to pay until I have proof of it.
Since February, this year I stopped receiving invoices and statements, only after notifying them the second time, in June, did it got reinstated and then I discovered the two queried amounts.
I have been retrenched, started a business, don't receive a salary but income during the month therefore had some payment issues the last few months and pay via eft.
I use the Vodacom app consistently to keep track of my data usage and remember there were always carry over data from the previous months. Vodacom first said they can't provide me a itemised bill because the contract was cancelled, then I was told to fax a request for it with my ID to ***, which I did twice to no avail. On querying the fax, many times, I got transferred around to and fro and the computer voice tell me I must phone back later.
I don't have a problem to pay what I owe, but it's not fair from Vodacom to demand payment without proper proof.
