Damaged port : Charging

I bought a new Black Berry 9720 on the 13th November 2014. I had problems charging the phone with the cell phone port that plugs into the charger. I took my cell phone to the Vodacom Shop to have a look at the problem. They had to send it to Cape Town for repairs. When I went back to collect the cell phone after many unreturned phone calls to them, they informed me that the problem was \water damage". The battery colour on the cell phone is still white. However the lady that assisted me told me that so many customers are complaining about the same reply. Vodacom Bedford Centre advise me to take the cell phone to Vodacom Repairs. I took my cell phone to Vodacom repair centre at Alberton"
