Damage to customers property

My LG phone went into vodacom repair centre at Lakeside mall as phone was not charging properly. When traveling in the car this week when the sunlight shines on the screen you can see the protector is cracked and it was not so before going in. We had the same problem with my daughter in laws phone. We did not report that and have had endless problems since then as they say we damaged it.
