On Saturday, 30 May 2015, I walked into the Vodacom Customer Care Centre in Cavendish, Claremont (above Mugg and Bean) to chat about contract options as my current contract was up for renewal. I was assisted by Irfaan and we discussed various options. After consultation with Irfaan, and on Irfaan's recommendation, I cancelled my current contract in order to convert my number to prepaid. He said that the cancellation process would take 30 days, after which my number would automatically be converted to prepaid. Irfaan recommended the 30-day cancellation as I still had more than 230 mins and close to 1GB of data left on my contract and advised that I would lose it if I converted immediately to prepaid.
Pursuant to his advice, we agreed that he would go ahead with the 30-day cancellation as discussed so that I could make use of the minutes and data.
On Sunday, 31 May 2015, I received a call from Irfaan advising me that my number has been switched to prepaid with immediate effect. Please advise as to how Vodacom will be resolving this matter with regard to the undue loss of minutes and data which I had already paid for.
