Customer Care - I think not

To whom it may concern,

I ported my cell phone number to Cell C from Vodacom on the 5 October 2016 after paying a cancelling fee lump sum at the Ballito Life Style centre branch, my Vodacom sim card was deactivated and I have been using a Cell C sim card ever since. To date, I have been paying Cell C my monthly contract amount as well as Vodacom who I have already cancelled my contract with.

I have just spent over 25 min and multiple calls to the Vodacom call centre to try and get this matter resolved for once and for all.

I called ********** as suggested by your help centre at the Gateway Shopping Centre. Following discussions with Vusi your agent who took my call at ********** he alerted me to the contract not having been cancelled correctly by Vodacom as a port instruction was evident on the system. I have subsequently cancelled my data package with Vodacom as of today given then the whole scenario and was issues with two reference numbers by Vusi. Ref Data line: 1- ********** ********** and Ref Voice Line: 1- ********** ********** . Vusi could not understand how this happened and was very apologetic.

Vusi gave me ********** to call and try to correct the overpayment that Vodacom has withdrawn from my account. I have pushed from pillar to post with no one being able to provide either a solution or reason as to why this has happened.

Finally, I got through to Phillip Mashubuka with my call ending with him at 16.20 today. He was not able to provide any assistance and merely stated that this could not possibly be the case and why did I not check my invoice. No solution was provided at all, except to call another number and hold for longer.

Phillip knows that this message is being placed here and did not seem to really care about that fact that another issue will be logged. A very interesting approach from an individual who is meant to be supervising the customer care line. Care – I think not.

The customer centricity of Vodacom is to be questioned, and as a customer with Vodacom for well over 10 years this is highly disappointing but not unexpected.

I eagerly wait for your response and resolution of this problem!!!
