Customer Care does not care

Vodacom did not place the cap on my account as instructed – and now I must suffer the consequences. No one at Vodacom has any record of this instruction from me. Ironically however, Vodacom has instituted itemised billing on my account (at an additional cost to me). What is even stranger is that I issued the instruction for the account cap and itemised billing on the same day, during the same phone call. Funny how you only have a ‘record’ of the item that I must pay more for, but not the part where you are at fault.

Numerous calls have gone unreturned. My first call was not even logged. Same with my second call. My third call resulted in me getting a reference number. But yet, after three weeks, not a single person has called me to resolve this issue. Why not? Is it Vodacom’s plan to take the money off and then offer me a ‘credit’ once it comes out that you are at fault? You do realise that this would constitute theft, right?

My debit order goes off in two days. Tomorrow I will draw everything out my account so that the debit order bounces – because I will NOT pay a huge bill that is the direct result of Vodacom not implementing the account cap AS INSTRUCTED.

Strange, for a company that records all calls that you cannot/have not/will not listen to the recording where this was spoken about and supposedly implemented.

I can only assume that your call centre agents simply do not log any problems or customer complaints. I can only hope that someone will now try to get to the bottom of this.

I have been a loyal, paying customer of Vodacom for many years and never once have I missed a payment. But I am now being forced into not paying simply to try and get a resolution to my problem.

Thank you for posting your generic reply to my complaint. So far (as per the usual Vodacom pattern of being incapable of phoning a customer and/or resolving a problem) no one has contacted me. Not even an SMS.
I wait with baited breath to see if anyone actually does contact me.
