Credit Limit Bar

My phone was locked in the start of June due to a mandatory credit limit bar. After calling customer care and being sent from the one dept to the other I had no luck. It seemed that Vodacom did not even know what was going on. After going to a Vodacom shop in a mall, who I will say gave excellent service, managed to help figure out what was going on.
Apparantly after going on to a new system this credit limit bar was enforced. My credit limit bar was R1500 even though my account is ove R2000 as it is on the red vip and I have three accounts with vodacom. After a lot of struggle I managed to have my credit limit bar raised to R3500 which was suppose to have sorted this problem. Three days later my account was blocked again and after getting through (finally) to someone who seemed to really know what was going on he explained that a credit limit bar takes the current month's estimate bill together with the previous month's bill and if these exceed the bar the phone will be locked. I requested that this bar be removed completely.

At this point I was furios as it does not stipulate anything about a credit limit bar in my contract, this is something vodacom decided just to put on.

16 Days went by and my phone was locked again due to this limit bar that was supposed to be removed. By this time if I walked in to the vodacom store at the mall they new what was going on and what to do. I don't even bother to call customer care as it takes forever to sort my phone out, this store helps immediately and are also dissapointed at what is happening. In the last week the store helped to remove the bar 3 times but the phone kept getting locked. After spending an hour at the store again yesterday Vodacom ADMITTED that they have a technical problem and that this now has been escalated to IT dept and will take at least a week to sort out. At this stage I was preapring to take this matter on legally due to the damage that Vodacom is causing my business financially and due to the breach of contract with this limit bar that was suddenly implemented without it ever being on my contract.

This morning I woke up with an sms on my phone that Vodacom suddenly debited over R6000 from my account!!! My account was not in arrears and with my 3 accounts together my bill is usually in the R2500 region.

I have been passed from one dept to another again this morning after calling customer care and eventually end in a dead end street.

I have started getting lawyers envolved now and believe me I will not stop untill Vodacom has closed all my contracts without me having to pay in the remainder of my contract. And Vodacom will stand for the damaged cause to my business.
