Credit Criteria Not Met - Require Clarity

Good day, I've app**** for a Vodacom contract and was declined on Saturday the 14/04/2018. The lady who assisted me at the Tygervalley branch told me it was due to not meeting the credit criteria. I would just like to inquire as to what the credit criteria is? What does it entail? As the reason provided is very vague. I am permanent, I have a good credit profile according to Clearscore. My income is R12000.00 Gross. I have one loan with an installment of less than R2000.00 I have been paying all my accounts on time for the time that I have it. I am in no way over indebted. So I just want to get clarity as to what the credit criteria is. You can contact me via email at ********** Regards,

Good day, Kindly be advised that I do not see the need to provide you with any of the other details as you should have it on the system. I purely want a valid reason for the decline as Game Tygervalley failed to provide me with the information required. I also believe that you have my ID number as I provided it in the query that was logged on Hello Peter. Should I not get a valid response before COB than I would have no alternative to take the matter further. Please don’t reply with a systematic response. Your response would be highly appreciated.

I have given you until COB yesterday and you failed to give me a proper answer to a simple question. Now I am forced to escalate the matter. Can someone at management level please contact me either via this website and/or email?

Good day, I was at the store and was advised that all the documents were provided, but that I was declined due to minimum requirements not being met. My question to them was “what exactly is the minimum requirement/s?” they could not answer me and referred me to Vodacom. I have been trying to resolve this matter with Vodacom, but they seem unable to assist me on advising what the minimum requirement/s is. Vodacom has set this standard of the supposed (minimum requirement) and as a consumer I feel that I have a right to know why I have been declined (which minimum requirement/s were not met.) According to the National Credit Regulator (NCR), consumers have rights in terms of the National Credit Act (NCA) to: • Apply for credit. • Know why credit was declined. • Receive information and documentation in their preferred official language. • Receive information and documentation in simple and clear language. • Get documentation in their preferred delivery manner. • Receive statements without charge. • Receive their free credit report once a year from a registered Credit Bureau, and if evidence is available, question/dispute incorrect information. • Privacy. • Apply for debt review/management/counselling. Your feedback in regards to the above would be highly appreciated.
