Corporate politics between Vodacom & Apple

We purchased an Apple I-phone through an approved Vodacom store. To activate the phone for a work environment, we are told that we need a DEP number…………………….Apple will supply me with a DEP number, as we did not buy the phone through Apple. Vodacom won’t change the phone as nothing they can do (according to call centre), time to close all our corporate contracts.

Dear Vodacom,
The query is not resolved. I still cannot setup the phone in a work environment. Apple still wont supply a DEP number. The agent from Vodacom claims that the phone works with a SIM card on the Vodacom network..............which it may well do, but if I can't set-up the work environment as I don't have a DEP ID for the device. So it is not an out of box failure, but I still cant use the device because of the politics between Vodacom & Apple.
