Conversion to Prepaid not possible due to a business rule

I have experienced the most ridicolous service from Vodacom over the last three days.

I want a Sony X ZA Ultra. It appears on the Vodacom website Online as available from Tuesday, 29/11/2016.

I call the call centre - it is not available. I call again - the call centre agent finds stock. I want to upgrade to contract - I cant cause there is a business rule that states you must get a new contract if your contract is less than 6 months off contract. I cancelled my contract cause the retention agent was only offering phones I was not interested in or keep a 6 generation old phone on another contract.

Made no sense - but now I cant upgrade not due to a system rule but an internal one.

But I can take out a new contract if I like but its a new number.

Cant upgrade my prepaid.
