I contacted Vodacom last year to cancel my contract as I was changing service providers as I wanted uncapped internet. The gentleman on the phone then offered me uncapped for a higher price than the opposition party. Then I continued to request the cancellation. He then called his supervisor to give me a deal at a lower price. He then proceeded and offered me uncapped internet at R399 per month. For last few months I noticed that for most days I do not have internet access. So today I decided to call the 082135 number. The gentle man on the phone informed me that they no longer offer uncapped internet. I informed him that I had signed a 24 month contract for uncapped internet and I would understand if they don't offer to new comers. He stated that the internet data has been reduced to 600GB, yet I am still paying the amount I contracted for, to receive uncapped internet. My contract is now only ending in June 2025 and I am forced to pay the full amount for reduced internet services. When I requested that they cancel the contract since they are in breach of contract, I was told I would be penalized. Then when I stated that I will report it to the OMBUDSMAN, the gentleman told me that I could do so, as Terms and Conditions apply.
So, does this mean if I pay for 24 cupcakes, the service provider can now give me 12 cupcakes, cause terms and conditions apply?
Vodacom is openly *****ing from their customers. Locking them into a 24 month contract they cannot get out of due to contractual obligation, yet they can freely be in BREACH OF CONTRACT and get away with it. They seem to have the attitude that they are UNTOUCHABLE, as we are binded by contracts.
I WILL NEVER EVER SUPPORT YOU AGAIN ONCE MY CONTRACT IS OVER....SIS, SHAME ON YOU *****ING FROM PEOPLE.
