Contract - Upgrading

Good day

My Vodacom contract expired in 2019 , I was paying R200 a month and got R200 of airtime. Then in the beginning of 2020 Vodacom keep calling me to take an special offer off R160 a month for R230 of airtime after the 10th time they called me I said I will take it.

Nobody told that if I take this special deal I wont be able to upgrade my phone later. Now that I want to upgrade my phone Vodacom tells me I cant. I have been to the Vodacom shops they cant help me because it was an online transaction.

I have called the Vodacom help line since September logged ticket numbers every time they say they will help or escalate the problem to the managers nothing happens.

This morning i called the Vodacom help line again now they tell me they didn't do the sale it was a 3rd party company I must call the company and talk to them. I will not do that i wasted hours talking over the phone to Vodacom.

My contract is with Vodacom if they cant fix it I will just cancel the debit order I am done calling them. They will not get another cent out of me.

Have a nice day Jaco

Reviewer Update
Good Day

A sales person called me back from Rewards Contract Centre they told me they listened to the recording and my dispute was declined I accepted the upgrade there is nothing they can do.

I was only aware that they are going to upgrade my sim card no where in the conversation the sales person told me that if I take this upgrade I wont be able to upgrade my phone later on.
Now my phone is broken and Vodacom tells me I cant upgrade to a new phone.

I called the Rewards Contact Center back again to ask for the recording they told me they cant send it to me its company policies.

I don't understand why I cant get my own recording back. I need that to send it to Vodacom.

Than you

Jaco
