My mother in law whom is a pensioner has renewed her data contract with vodacom in March 2016 for a 1GB in the day and 1GB at night on a top up for the amount of R99 per month. Everything went smoothly for 5 months and in September she received a bill from vodacom for R468, so my mother phoned customer care and said that it is to much and she would not be able to pay it as she is a pensioner, the person on the other line said that it is not a problem they will only deduct the R99 which never happened and no reference was given. My husband took her 2 days later to N1 City shop to see if they could resolve the issue and they were then informed that her contract is an open line and it was then requested to do a migration on the contract to a top up as requested when the contract was open.

End of October my mother received another bill for R246 and then I took my mother back to N1 City Shop were I was informed that there is no request for a migration on their system and that they can not explain to me how the amount of R99 was deducted for a period of 5 months on an open contract and suddenly for the last 2 months the amount has gone up, they kept telling me that it is because my mother downloaded and used the internet etc and yet she has been doing that for as long as she has had the contract and suddenly the fault is us, how does that happen, they still could not explain. I asked that they go back 5 months to tell me on what this contract was open as a top up or a open line and I was informed that they could not as they can only open 2 months.
I again arrange that only R99 be deducted as the fact that the migration was not put through was not our fault and the fact that the contract was opened on a top up and ended to be an open line is also not our fault. We received references this time but again the full amount was deducted.

Yesterday 6th November I decided that I was going to go to the customer care shop at Century City and very much to my suprise when I got there I was informed that nobody is there to assist me, then I asked to speak to a supervisor and again I was informed that nobody can assist me and that I need to go to another shop. Now they have migrated my moms contract but they also took away her 1GB data at night, I feel that they are hopping her around on contracts as they seem fit and that nobody is or want to help resolve this issue.
