Contract ****

In Feb this year I upgraded my data contract to 10gig daytime and 10gig night time data, or so I thought. After a couple of months I realised that something was wrong, so I put Vodacome to the test over a two month period. As a result of the test I realised that every time my daytime data ran out so did the nighttime data. How can this be possible, that the two run out exactly simultaneously, and then when I hadn't really even used the night time data much at all - I know when I'm working after midnight?

So I called Vodacom. What mission! The assistant informed me that they'd never credited me with the 10gig night time data and that she'd log the error. I should give them 48 working hours i.e. 6 days.

Well its been 88 working hours now and still NOT A WORD FROM VODACOM, except that I notice that my balance is now stated as being out of 20gig. How misleading is that? You can't differentiate day from night data and it is impossible to see meaningful information on usage, which means that you cannot factually pin point the problem. No doubt this is a deliberate and conscious decision by these cream of the crop ******** - the less they give you the easier it is to **** you.

I want the data I was ****med out of. I want a refund of the money I have spent buying more data because of this negligence by this unscroupulous and uncaring company.

Hello
Also with reference to: S4-OQ32Q-?????
Interesting. You have not dealt with the essence of my complaint.
Some history: Prior to signing this new contract I was on a 10GB anytime contract with Vodacom. When my contract came up for renewal I decided to upgrade to the 20GB contract in February 2017 – 10GB anytime; 10GB night owl – as advertised in the Let’s Talk brochure of February 2017. It was my INTENTION through the upgrade to obtain more data, albeit night owl data since I had frequently run out of data in the past.
I have the following before me which I have supp**** to you below:
The contract I signed on 25 February 2017, opened on page 1 of 8. See Image A below.
The Vodacom Let’s Talk brochure dated February 2017 which is open on page 33. This being the page on which the deal I signed up for is published. See Image B below.
A screen dump of my account taken today at 08:19AM. Notice that the balance is 5.37GB of 20GB. See Image C.
A screen dump of my account as seen from the Vodacom App taken today at 05:49AM. Notice that the balance is 5.39GB out of 10GB remaining. See Image D.
Please verify for yourself that the contract description I signed is (See Image A):
“Vodafone R216H LTE MiFi Router
100MBS + Top Dog Voucher @ R319
PM (R20 Finance + R299 Sub) on 10GB Data
Price plan Top up”
In the description and the details below the description it clearly states that the “Total Monthly Charges” are R319.00.
Now, comparing the above to the Let’s Talk brochure there is only ONE possible option matching the above description and price. It is in column 4 row 2 on page 33. It is entitled “Was 10GB Now 20GB”. This was the deal I signed up for.
Now I require you explain the following:
1. On what page of the Let’s Talk brochure of February 2017 is the deal advertised for 10GB with NO night owl data for R319 PM? In the absence of such a deal why would I sign up for it?
2. If, as you say, I don’t have a night owl data deal, why are you charging me R319.00 PM for 10GB because that is the price advertised for the 20GB data deal – 10GB anytime + 10GB night owl? The 10GB deal with the router I signed up for was advertised for R219.00 PM as of February 2017. The allocated data amount captured on your system is therefore inconsistent with the deal I signed up for and the amount you are charging me. Either you are overcharging me for the 10GB deal or you are charging me for the 20GB deal but only giving me 10GB of data. Which is it?
3. With reference to Image C, why does my account (as viewed on the Internet) suddenly show a 20GB balance after I complained, if AS YOU SAY, I do not have night owl data. Your system is therefore inconsistent with your reply to my complaint – see your email below. Either your system wrong or YOU are. Which is it? If I don’t have night owl data, does this imply that I have a deal for 20GB anytime data?
4. Now with reference to Images D. Notice that Image D shows a balance of 5.39 out of 10GB remaining. Why does it show a total of 10GB? This is inconsistent with the total shown on my account when logged in via the Internet. The one is 20GB the other 10GB. Why?
So, either way I look at it Vodacom has been ******** me for four months. You are either overcharging me for the 10GB contract or you haven’t credited my account with the full benefit of the 20GB data deal. Which is it Lucian?
I require you to please provide a full, detailed and unaltered account of my data usage since 01 March 2017, including:
Opening and closing balances each month until the 17 July 2017.
Data usage per day, split into usage during the “anytime time” period versus the so called “night owl” time consumption.
(Oh, and don’t tell me you can’t supply the above because when I last had a data **** problem, Vodacom supp**** this data to me in an Excel spreadsheet!)
There is just too much conflicting information in this case for me to draw any other conclusion other than Vodacom has breached our contract.
It is also hereby recorded that as a result of the breach, between 01 March 2017 and 29 June 2017 I have had to spend an additional R1 569.00 on purchasing additional data after the Vodacom data had run out prematurely. I regard this as unnecessary expenditure that I would not have had to spend had Vodacom honoured our contract.
Please answer all my questions and supply the account usage data within 7 days of this email.
