Contract Rip-off?

About Nov 2012 I signed a 2 year contract for a Nokia 2-01 cellphone.. When the 2 years was up, I went onto prepaid, assuming that the contract was cancelled. A few months later Vodcom phoned, offereing me an 'upgrade' which I declined. They tell me I had to cancel my contract, on which the DO had been operating since then.

When recently sorting out another matter at their Pinelands office, I was advised that the DO was still operational and that I had to sign a form to cancel it. This I did. I have since emailed Vodcaom requesting a refund of the nearly 2 year overpayment. I received an acknowledgement and NOTHING further despite sending reminders. seems like Voda ignores customer complaints that involve refunds.
