Contract not canceled upon requests

In February 2024 I received an SMS informing my Vodacom contract would be coming to an end at the end of March 2024.

I called in on the 8th of February 2024 so thar I can give notice as per my contract, on the 1st of April I contacted Vodacom again as they had debuted my account and they advised that the account was billed in arrears and that would be the final debit order.

Today; 19 April 2024; a Vodacom agent contacted me to offer a different package and I advised that I had canceled and the consultant checked their system and said that my contarct has not been canceled.

Obviously I was upset and asked her where I can call to try to resolve this, I contacted the number I was given and they confirmed that the cancelation was scheduled for the end of April and I asked would my account be debited again and she said yes, that would be the last debit order and I told her no I canceled in February for end of March I can't be liable to pay for another month when I canceled two months ago.

I asked to speak to a manager and she said he was in a meeting and I asked for his name so I can expect a call and she said that she can't give me a name as there are 10 managers and I asked how is it possible for there to be 10 managers and I can't speak to one? She said they are all in a management meeting, so I asked for a reference and I was told to use my number today's date and the time, I asked her to please confirm the reference as there are different date formats and the time could differ from my computers time and she gave me a reference but the time was for a future time. I quarried if it was correct and she had a huge attitude and I told her that her telephone etiquette is terrible and she should be able to provide me with a reference for the call without making it so difficult and without the attitude.

I am extremely unhappy with this experience and would just like my contact to be canceled without having to pay for another month.

I will never take out another contract with Vodacom and will strongly advise everyone I know not to either and share my experience.

You call numerous times and have to follow so many prompts to get to where you want and they are faced with rude consultants. Very impersonal system and experiences and I would rather go to a provider where I feel valued as a customer. I
