Contract Misselling = Profits Lost

I had an absolute horror of an experience.

Long story short - I wanted a top up contract. The sales guy, being a hard closer - ended up selling me an open line contract explaining it works like a top up. I remember well how he explained that I had to just call in and put some type of stop on my account which would then affect the top up part of the contract and I honestly understood that I'd be getting a TopUp.

When I started receiving crazy high bills, I called back and

1 - Vodacom told me I can only change my open line contract to TopUp when its like two or three months old - which is "BS" from a TCF perspective.

I have made so many calls, explained, very patiently every time that my request is simple - i want to cancel the incorrect contract, and start new top up,but to no avail.

1.2 - I went as far as possible - being a fair and reasonable person - that on a number of conversations, I offered to pay the part of my aggreed subscripton - aka the "preloaded" part, but that everything I wanted to load via own top up but was loaded automatically because of the open line, I am not willing to, as I did not aggree to that.

2 - Now, months later, my number is suspendid and I keep getting notifications of money due to Vodacom on a contract that was missold to me.

They have not givin, at my numerous request any feedback, or proof of recorded aggreement to the contract.

I got a prepaid since they suspended my number, even gave that to them as an attenpt that the accounts / service guys can be able to contact me, but to this day no one have given me any feedback to finalize resolution.

what a complete disappointment.

3 - Even worse is that on the notice they send, the contact number ***, the auto select doesn't recognise my details so I cant even get through to the correct dept in Vodacom to get the help I need.

WHERE IS THE LOVE VODACOM?

I am so disappointed.

The worst of it all - it doesnt look like you care to retain me as a customer - and, being 34, with a conservative life expectancy of say 78/80 (my granny is 95 by the way, so this could be more) - you stand to lose 46 years worth of profits out of me just because one guy in sales gave this cilent the wrong contract and 10+ pleople in client services was unwilling to help with the simplest of request.

Day1 I ported my 083 number in the hope that the service would be better.

Well, now I know, everything said and done, where I'll lace my airtime bussiness, and its not with Vodacom.

TTFN!

Vodacom have still not been willing to come to the party. Al they wanted was a payment arrangement but the whole point is I was incorrectly advised and completely missled by a sales guy. Vodacom remains unwilling to provide a reconciled account to me for the overcharge they are holding against me. You know what Vodacom... I hope my story reaches many people and will help them to be very carefull when doing business with you.

Telkom FreeMe is SO Well Named. Im never looking back. TTFN Vodacom!
