Contract lenghth disagreement

I bought a fibre monthly contract by telephone on the discussed condition that it would be a monthly contract with no fixed time. I checked that the description on the first invoivc read "35MBPS monthly plan". Now that I want to give a months's notice I am told that I am tied to a "24 or 12 month" contracy. I asked to listen to the sales converstion, which I was told would be recorded, but to no avail. I spent 38 minutes on the phone but got no joy. Transferring me to "billing" resulted in my call being lost and I had to start again. Any idea what I can do next?

I simply have to follow up with tremendous admiration for the way Vodacom handled this matter. Kim wrote me within an hour to say she is investigating. At 17.38 (the same day!) she reported that they had listened to the sales call, I had been given the wrong information and that my request to cancell is granted. Wow, it's how you respond when things go wrong that defimes your committment to service excellence, and this rates top drawer! Take a bow, Vodacom fibre!
