between the 11th and 13th of April 2016 i called vodacom (111) to request a change to my banking details (account number and debit date). I was then informed that all is well and beginning April, i will be debited on my new bank account (FNB) and debit date (25th)

I was surprised to receive an SMS from vodacom saying my account is in arrears and i must call their collection department on *** to arrange payment.

The questions i asked the agent i spoke to were

Q1: why am i in arrears

A1: because the debit returned unpaid

Q2: which account and date

A2: Absa Account and 20th

Q3: what debit (banking) details and debit date do you see on your system

A3: FNB and 25th

Q4: Then if you have the correct details why did you debit an incorrect account

A5:.......

I understand that suce things do happen, but as this is not my issue i wanted to find out what is vodacom's plan and they dont have or the agent was told not to entertain this all she was after was ensuring she gets me to commit to a payment arrangement.

As i was not at fault, i was expecting that Vodacom would call me to inform me of their mistake and apology for it and since they need to get the contract fees for the month, to also offer me payment options for the fees for us to agree on, instead of being told that if i dont pay my account will be suspended. Suspended why as i was and am not the one at fault

after having a 22 minute talk with the agent, she them asked me to hold on she is getting her supervisor as we are not reaching an agreement on the matter. I then waited a further 4 minutes and the call cut (the phone told me the number i have dialed is not recognised and the call dropped)

I am really disapppointed at vodacom.
