Contract confusion and who cares about loyalty

Hi. My (contract) phone was ****** on 30 Dec 2022 so went in to Vodacom to get it all resolved and get a new phone up and running. Had to cancel contract, block phone, sim swap, etc. The ladies in store were a bit helpful to open contract but gave such confusing advise RE cancellation quote, opening new contract, order in which I need to change contract or apply for a new one - not a cheap process either. To add to that, the contract I wanted to open (I have proof of the deal in the in store magazine and online deal for Jan 2023), they say there is no stock and it is on back order and no idea when it will be available, Really??? Another customer in store told me that he managed to do an early upgrade through MTN but because I was still "early" in my contract, i couldn't do so ... Really???. I have been been with Vodacom for over 20 years, and happy with the service up til now, and it seems customer loyalty doesn't mean anything, does it? I have app**** for a new contract just today (23 Jan) and hope this is resolved soon! Thank you
