I was contacted by Vodacom beginning of August 2017 to inform me that my contract was about to expire and that the option I was on was no longer offered. I elected to choose the Smart S+ which was to cost me R149.00 per month. I was informed that Vodacom could not renew the contract in August but that I should call in September (the expiry date) to change and renew the contract. I again called Vodacom on 1 September 2017 to request that my contract be changed to the Smart S+ as from the said date. After 4 months of runnning out of data and airtime, I decided to visit a Vodacom store in Bedfordview to enquire as to what contract I was on. According to the Vodacom system my original request of 1 September 2017 was noted but had a status of "Future Open" which according to the Vodacom shop assistant was that the request was not completed! Vodacom now want me to pay R199.00 per month for the Smart S+ which in my mind is ludicrous as someone at Vodacom had not done their job properly and I am expected to foot the extra cost for their error.
I spoke to a manager by the name of Brandon today who undertook to investigate and revert back to me with his findings. I must be honest, I do not have much faith in Vodacom resolving this matter to my satisfaction or even reverting back to me as I am a pensioner who merely spends around R165.00 per month. It is beacuse of this reason I have decided to write this review in the hope that Vodacom will respond!
