Contract cancelled - bank account still being debited

I cancelled my contract in August (month's notice) and confirmed the cancellation in September through the call centre. The contract had reached its term and I chose not to upgrade or to transfer the number to pay as you go.

To my horror my bank account was still debited in October and November, so I phoned Vodacom. The call centre agent told me that it had not been loaded correctly but that he would load it for December and that my account would again be debited in December. This was not acceptable to me as this would mean more money for an contract that I cancelled correctly.

I have been fighting for a month to get my money back. The credit was loaded onto my Vodacom account (had requested that it be credited to my bank account at least 7 times). So today I was informed that a debit order would not run for this contract as they used the credit in my account so I will get less money back!

Seriously? The money incorrectly taken for the cancelled contract is mine i.e. the incorrect debit orders that ran October and November - that money cannot be used to service an incorrect "amount due" in December! I owe Vodacom nothing!!!!!! They owe me all the money incorrectly debited for this contract. What is so difficult to understand??????

Have made at least 25 calls and written about the same number of e-mails - at my wits end!

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for resolving this issue. I am happy that this is finally over.

I appreciate the help from the lady who contacted me todayat 15h45 - I wish I had dealt with her in the first place as I am sure things would have gone better. 2 months of "fighting" is not pleasant.

I am grateful that this has been resolved.
