Contract cancellations
Today i called the cancellations department to cancel a contract i had that expired Nov 2024. So this contract was running on a month to month, since i dont use the data of the contract that much as we got wifi, i decided that i was going to cancel the contract. The lady tried to get me to upgrade my contract to take a phone with 600something meg data and 50min data, i was thinking about while she was taking out her best seller skills. I decided then that i would rather stick to my intent to cancel the contract, she then tried to sell a cheaper contract to me. Which i also declined. It was really hard for her to accept that i wanted to cancel this service from them and wanted a reason as to why cause she could see that i was using the data... i tried to keep my cool but and did not want to be rude to her. But she just did not want to listern. I told her that im giving her 5minutes to cancel this contract. I wanted it to be cancelled from this month but acording to her i have to give 30 days notice which i took as school fees from learning that its beter not to get contracts. The moment you honoured it and it run out and you want to cancel it, they will come with stories. I just wish Vodacom can train their consultants to respect customers wishes and not bombar them with 100 questions as to why and try and convince them in taking up more financial responsibilities. Finances is hard enough for everyone in SA right now, we dont have money to waiste. Vodacom respect your customers wishes when it comes to cancellations!!! I will never in my life take out a contract with them again.
