Contract cancellations but still forced to pay

I started cancelling my contract last year October 2016 after numerous calls to the cancellation department and hours spend on the phone. No cancellations were made. I went to malls to cancel and they just refer you to the cancellation department and to email customer care. After so many emails and phone calls still nothing happened. Now in June 2017 eventually someone helps you over the phone and tells me that I have to pay the outstanding amount before they will cancel the contract, so I did just to get them to cancel it. But a month later now on the 18/07/2017 they forward you a new statement and invoice and want more money and that the contract is still running. What the hell is going on...how the hell to I stop them. I am not going to pay more money and I will take this to the National Credit Regulator. Vodacom is giving me a bad credit name and I will not allow this...how many other South Africans are they doing this to... If they don not help within 24 hour as from today I will report them
