Contract cancellation
I have a 24 months contract (sim only) with vodacom that expires now in December. I called them in November to give 30 days notice and they told me to call in December. I called in December the 01 at 14:41 spoke to Dalene to give the notice as advised previously and she told me that she will put a notice in their system to end the contract but I HAVE to take a month to moth contract from January 2024 that I can cancel anytime then let it run for Jan and then call them again to cancel if I decide I don't want that too. REALLY!!! So according to vodacom, I have money and time to spend calling them to keep convincing to not cancel the contract? I do not even understand why I HAVE to take the month to month contract if I want to end the relationship I have with vodacom. I DO NOT WANT that month to month contract. Please CANCEL the 24 months contract the expires this month and DO NOT give me the month to month contract I DO NOT WANT IT. Should I get debited in January I will go to the Ombudsman. The contract I took was for R99, 2 months later I am charged R110 and now guess what I am paying? R120, without any notification if the increase. So I am done with vodacom.
