Contract *****
My husband has been a victim of ***** involving Vodacom.
In 2021, he took out a phone contract for my mother-in-law. Shortly thereafter, he was notified of an additional phone contract taken out in his name at a Vodacom store we have never visited. Despite actively reporting this issue to Vodacom, he received no support and was made to pay for the *****ulent contract.
To make matters worse, the same individual has now managed to secure another phone—an iPhone—under his name. This has all occurred without my husband's authorization or signature.
Throughout this ordeal, we have repeatedly reached out to Vodacom for assistance, yet we have not received the promised follow-up calls. This situation has been incredibly stressful and financially burdensome. It is concerning that such incidents can occur within their organization, and that they seem to be handling it with little urgency.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Vodacom as a service provider.

An individual was assigned to assist my husband with this matter; however, this person has since disappeared without resolving the issue. Meanwhile, my husband continues to incur debit orders related to this *****ulent activity to this day.
There has been a complete lack of accountability from Vodacom, resulting in substantial financial losses amounting to thousands of rands over several years. The situation has escalated into a disproportionate struggle, resembling David versus Goliath, and has become a clear example of corporate bullying.
This conduct is ********* and demonstrates a serious breach of good faith on Vodacom’s part.

Furthermore, there has been no explanation of how this breach occurred, no formal apology, and no discussion regarding compensation for the compromise of our personal information while under their care. Initially, we were content with simply having what was ****** returned, yet it appears that even this is proving to be an unreasonable request for Vodacom to honour.
At this rate, this interaction is laughable.
