Contract application

Hello,

I used to be a Vodacom customer few years ago having a contract phone for more than 4 years. In 2017 I deciced to not renew my contract.

A week ago I decided I wanted to get the new iPhone 11 on a 36 month contract. After a week (took a bit long, the staff was struggling with the Vodacom online system) I received a positive answer for my application BUT being told I could not afford (portfolio too low) an iPhone 11 (staff told me I need to earn more then 55K a month to get an iPhone 11).

HOW RIDICULOUS !!!!!!! I can definitely afford a 599R/month contract. This do not make sense at all. They now tell you what to buy or not.... Too bad, I will go somewhere else (CellC, Telkom) where I know my application will be fully approved!

Another interesting part is one of the staff member told me they would have accepted If I was still a Vodacom customer applying for an upgrade...

Do not waste yout time with Vodacom guys...
