Contract almost a month old and SIM still not active.

I took out a new contract with Vodacom and recieved delivery on 17/10/2016. Since then I phoned Vodacom 5 times requesting my new SIM to be activated after each call being promised that the SIM will be active within 48hours. It is now 17/11/2016 and the SIM is still not active.

So what I would like to be helped with now, is assistance with cancelling my new contract as I have been debited for this but have not recieved any service on this contract. According to me that is Vodacom not meeting their end of this contract, meaning breach of contract.

I am more than happy to hand in my phone and all the goodies it came with and go to another network.

I just recieved this SMS - "Dear Client. The Sales Team advised that they were in contact with you and activated the number. Once again, we would like to apologise for the delay in this regard.
Kind regards, Vodacom Customer Care Rashieda Jattiem"
Funny thing is I didnt get contact by the "Sales Team" or anyone from Vodacom. So please tell me who you spoke to because it wasnt me?
