For two weeks now I have been struggling to rectify a situation where calls made are dropping. It happens frequently all day, every day. I have made 5x visits to a dedicated Vodacom store, and despite everyone’s efforts in the store, the matter remains outstanding. I have repeatedly been reassured the matter has been escalated as a Priority. I have progressed through several stages trying to have the matter attended to and resolved. The most recent step in the process was to have my SIM card replaced, which I did, at a cost of R65.00 The SIM card had to be replaced because I am not getting the service I subscribed to, namely to make and receive uninterrupted calls. I have not damaged the sim. It was not lost. It was inserted by a consultant at a Vodacom store and has never been tampered with since then. Two issues: why should I be forced to pay for a SIM card that to all intents and purposes, should be working perfectly as it is only six months old. And why has this matter been allowed to continue for weeks on end without anyone having the courtesy to provide me with an update? It’s altogether unacceptable. It would seem the Company either doesn’t care or are unable to attend to the problem, or both.
