I was just about to think Vodacom was getting their act together to realise that the service is even worse than before. My data issues is endless. I used to have a 2 gig data monthly contract and I never used up the two gigs in a month or had to buy more data. Now 5gigs does not last half a month and my usage is less.
I did not want to continue with a data contract with Vodacom but Vodacom kept on promising me that the service is better and gave me a 5 gigabyte wi-fi router contract instead of the 2 gigabytes for what appeared to be not a bad deal.
Well, do I regret my decision. I wish I never renewed my contract They won't let you out of the contract but the problems are endless. I had to take the router back because it did not work and then I also had to wait for another router for about a week.
Now my data, 5 gigs does not last me a month compared to my 2 gigs that I never finished. How do you explain this. My usage is the same, I do not use anything extra. My computer is the same one I have always used. Nothing on my side has changed but before halfway through the month my 5 gig data is gone. Ask Vodacom about this and they always blame the user. Strange . . . ?
Now you have to purchase data halfway through the month adding even more to the 2gigs you used to use to do more with. One month you can use the data and the other month not. I am sitting with two gigs of data that I purchased. I have logged three calls for this already. All three has been resolved according to Vodacom but I still cannot use the two gigs of data and it will expire soon. The first two service calls that have been submitted to get access to my data purchased told me that the issue is resolved and that I have received 1 gig data from Vodacom to make up for the inconvenience but I never received either of the 1 gigs, still waiting . . . .
When the third service call was logged for the same issue at Century City they promised to make sure that I get the data promised, if I did I will not worry about the 2gig I purchased that I cannot access. Still waiting and still no access to my 2gig data purchased. I had to buy another gig to be able to access the internet but still waiting for access to my 2 gig data and the 2 times promised 1 gig each per service call from Vodacom. It has been agreed that I should be able to use the 2gig purchased but Vodacom can't give me access to the data I purchased. So what do I do now, I will just expire or should I try and log a forth service request that also lead to nothing. You have to take time, travel to Century City, it is costing you time, fuel and being polite and smiling and being kind because if you are not then the service is even worse but in this case the service has disappeared. So I wonder why I smile and why I am nice and why am I the one servicing those who are supposed to deliver a service to me and still nothing.
The service third call was closed and still no data and I am not even through the first week of my month and 1 and 1/2 gigs already gone.
I know I used 500megs for downloads and access to email and slightly more what happened to the rest.
This is what I call the customer is delivering the service and paying for it with time, fuel, patience, kindness and data that cannot be used and my goodness know what else and still getting nowhere. What is happening . . . What else can a person do???? Pay and pay and you cannot get out of the contract but you also get nothing worth your time, money and effort. What happened to customer service. I am stunned, speechless.
