Content Services charged without my knowledge
So, in the last 2 months my Vodacom account increased with approximately R180.00 per month, with a total of R371.03 charged for "Content Services". Probably not much in the greater scheme of things, but enough that I feel it. I've read through hundreds of review of the same problem that "Content Services" are being charged without peoples knowledge, only to find 2 such services activated on my account, one called Chatbak Silver and the other PickNews. Neither of which I can find of Google, so I still have no idea what these services are for. Luckily I have a touch of OCD and don't delete SMS's from my phone, so searching I went and guess what - no activation SMS's found on my phone. I only found one "reminder" SMS from Chatbak and a "subscription terminated" SMS from Picknews from the 6th of October which obviously was never terminated as I unsubscribed yet again today. So Vodacom, should I even try and fight for a refund? It seems you are very conveniently passing the buck the WASP's and taking no responsibility that you are actually charging people for unsolicited **** that you have no clue has been added to your account. I'll definitely say this, after 20 years of using Vodacom, first as pre-paid user then as a contract holder, when my contract expires in February of 2018 I'll be changing my provider.
