Consumer Protection Act not applicable to Vodashop The Grove...
Vodashop The Grove and Vodacom have been sending me form pillar to post on an upgrade I did where the salesman did not inform me of the Huawei issues with google apps and then the next day refusing to exchange the handset for a different device, , even though the consumer protection act states that i can exchange up to 14 days afterwards.
The manager (Theo) at The Grove Vodashop even told me that Vodashop does not fall under the Consumer Protection Act and that he has told Advocates and attorneys this and that not even they could get anything done. He then said I must email him my complaint and gave me a piece of paper with his email address on (***). I then emailed the issue to him but it came back with message that the mailbox is full.
i then escalated the matter and send countless emails and spoke to more than 3 different agents but still nothing. i was told that they escalated my issue to regional as well. Still nothing. Not a phone call or anything.
Be careful of this shop and especially make sure you ask them if there is anything you should know about your device.

Then Product Information (not filled in)
Customer care numbers a Customer Satisfaction Evaluation, the store consultants name and lastly a place to sign.
To conclude, I signed this form after the phone was given to me (i should have read the fineprint) but even if I did - I truly did not understand the meaning as above that you cannot access your google sharedrive, gmail, none of the apps I want is available, the search function sucks.... and lets be honest, if you are not a very technical person you are going to struggle with this phone.
So if I do not understand the technical terminology, and i do not want this R15,000.00 handset as it does not do what I want it to do, i cannot. This does not feel like I am being treated fairly.
