Consumer Act

I wanted to cancel my contract that is not even 24 hours old. As per the very rude Branch Manager (Suhail) at Boardwalk Inkwazi, Richards Bay, they refused to cancel the contract.

The Consumers Protection Act very clearly states the following:

Act within cooling-off period. If you entered into the contract over the phone, online or on your doorstep, you have 14 calendar days to cancel the contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. The cooling-off period starts the day after you agree to go ahead with the service.

Note that it is not even 24 hours. We visit the branch with absolutely no help. We phoned head office 3x times of which we were told it is possible to cancel. However at the Branch. The Manager simply refused to take the phone back.

Also, The salesman (Shaun) failed to declare that 2 contracts is to be paid for an UPGRADE. There was 2 witnesses that bears witness of this.
