Constant disagreed to sms marketing harassment

I have reported this on hello peter before and emailed vodacom some years back (when they still allowed customers to contact them) regarding the constant barrage of marketing smses sent to my phone. I have my phone number on the "block marketing" list and I have asked them many times to stop this harassment, which is not legal without permission. I have tried to phone them, the automated voice refers you to a website. the website supposedly has a chat system, but it doesnt work. you cannot reach them via phone, email or chat. I am also unable to block their number on my phone or op out via rep**** sms. How do I stop this constant harassment from them? Where are my consumer rights? Please stop it.

Nobody made contact with me (or if they did, they didnt try again or leave a message). The email you sent me was generic and had no bearing or solution to my actual complaint. As I am typing this, yet another marketing sms has just been sent to my phone. This bullying form of unsolicited, unwelcome and unwanted marketing is not legal in South Africa, yet consumers are helpless to stop it. This is my cell number. I use your platform, for which I pay a fee each time I make a call, but that does not give you the right to own my space and bombard me as YOU see fit. I will NEVER sign up for any marketing forced upon me. Please make it stop. you dont need to email me or phone me, just remove my number from your marketing spam database!
